I love capturing real life, whether it's mine or yours. Photography became so important to me after I lost my only child Max, to CHD. I love capturing the love within your family and real life moments that tell your family's story. My style of photography is not your every day, posed 5 minute say cheese portrait session. I really love to play, run and laugh with your family and truly capture the essence of you and your children.

I love the realness of weddings and other special day events. I love capturing expressions and telling the story of an important day through my work. I believe the gift I am able to give is soo important and worth it.

I love meeting new people, learning new personalities and I want to know YOU! Life is so beautiful and it is too short not to capture it this way! ♥

Bereavement: the state or fact of being bereaved or deprived of something or someone : the state or fact of being bereaved; especially : the loss of a loved one by death

If you or someone you know, has lost their child, the most important thing that you can do for that person, is call someone to take photographs and encourage the family to take many themselves. Be absolutely nothing but supportive in every feeling they might have!

Editing and Retouching Services

I offer free photo retouching services to clear any discoloration of the skin, skin tears and break down, and try to make your child look as they would if they were alive. This has been such a blessing to so many families. It makes the photos of your Angel much easier to share and to view for your family. Your baby is perfect and beautiful!

You can have photos emailed to

If the photographs you have are prints or are many years old, please email me so we can discuss how we can get your photos scanned and safely back to you.

Photography Services

I offer free services to those who are terminally ill or who have passed away. You may not think you want these photos now, but you will want them later on in life. Photography can be so helpful and healing during this difficult time. It allows you to remember and show each perspective of everyone involved in your struggle. Most importantly, weeks, months, and years down the road, when these memories start to become a painful fog, you can look back on these photos and remember, that it was real, that this person lived, and you can see how loved they were then, and how still loved they are now.

If you are pregnant and your child has been diagnosed with a potentially fatal condition, please contact me to discuss my volunteer maternity, labor and delivery, family and funeral photography services.

If you have learned that your child will be still born, or will pass away shortly after birth, photos may be the last thing on your mind, but after you put your child to rest, photos will be THE most important of your possessions!

These services qualify for children of any gestational age. From early miscarriage to full term. "A person's a person, no matter how small." -Dr. Seuss

If you or someone you know has a fatal health condition, please contact me as soon as possible.

If you are a health care provider, please feel free to contact me to request my on call, volunteer services. If I can not be there at any time for whatever reason, I will find someone who can.

We were told we were going to lose our son, within a few months when he was just 3.5 months old. He ended up passing away 2 weeks after that diagnosis. The night he started to pass away, we called an amazing volunteer photographer to come and capture the love that surrounded our son as he became an Angel, passing from our arms to the Lord's. It was such an intense, painful, yet beautiful moment. I am so thankful for the amazing photos that Todd Hochberg was able to capture after my son passed away. We will forever cherish these images, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be able to provide these services myself.

Adoptions

I am a volunteer photographer for the Red Thread Sessions.
If you or someone you know is going through the adoption process, photography can be an amazing way to capture the most special and life changing moments.

There are a few different types of Red Thread Sessions

1) a family portrait session within the first 3 months of a finalized adoption to capture family portraits of the new family,
(2) a homecoming session where the volunteering photographer meets the adoptive family at the airport upon arrival home to capture the first moments with their family, or
(3) a birth photography session to capture the birth of the adoptive child in an open adoption.

To learn more about the Red Thread Sessions, you can visit their facebook or their website.

I started taking photos and editing pictures AFTER Maddox passed away. I can only wish that I would have taken more photos of him while he was here. I have so many beautiful photos of him, but there still is never enough.

I thought I had all the time in the world to make memories with my son, to get professional pictures taken and that there would always be another day.

The thing is, is that we are NOT promised another day, and since we are here now, we need to capture the memories for today, because our entire world could be turned upside down tomorrow.

I don't want other people to have to worry about not having enough photos or not capturing enough memories. There should be no regrets!

Pictures can be all we have left, so I love capturing them now, knowing how much MORE important they will be later...
